Fuel Management - Fleet Fuel Card Solution

One of the country's largest building material companies did not have any fuel procurement or fuel management system plan in place.

The Sokolis Group helped put a six-month detailed fuel management study and fleet fuel analysis together on how the company and its 200 plus locations could get things under control.  The company lacked any fueling controls.  They had some locations with mobile fueling, other locations using fuel cards, others using fleet cards, fleet credit cards we centralized all of this information.

By negotiating with many different fuel card, fleet card, mobile fueling, fuel companies about our fleet companies fueling program.  We were able to narrow the scope to the fleet fuel card provider, fleet fueling- mobile fueling companies, fueling companies and diesel fuel additives supplier. The company now has fuel savings of $650,000 in the first year of its new fuel management program. 

As the fuel card program expanded and fuel cards were totally consolidated, the company was able to realize fuel savings of $850,000 in the second year. This did not include the fuel management system that Sokolis Group helped to install that provided them with additional fuel savings in back office staffing, fuel inventory management and fuel card controls.
 

Our History

Sokolis Group is the creation of Glen Sokolis, a twenty year veteran in the fuel management industry. As President of Integrity Mobile Fueling, Glen was a pioneer in the mobile fueling industry, establishing Integrity as the leading mobile fueling company in the Philadelphia market.

As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for ABCO Oil, Glen broadened his focus to encompass strategic fuel planning, fuel management software, fleet management services, diesel fuel additives and business development. He developed innovative strategies that increased mobile fueling sales volume 200% in less than a year and identified and developed venture capital for key acquisitions, in one instance securing $30 million in venture capital in only three weeks to help his fleet management company.

In 1998, Glen founded U.S. Fleet Services. Under Glen's leadership U.S. Fleet Services grew to be the nation's largest mobile fueling operator and consolidator with over 80 locations in 30 states and annual fuel purchasing of 180 million gallons delivered from more than 300 fueling trucks.

In 2003, Glen and his staff of former fuel manager, fleet fuel buyers and fuel management consultants decided to change the gas and diesel fuel prices market place.
